Ashanti handcrafts unique rings in silver and bronze with a renowned reputation in the Italian artisan world. As well as showcasing his avant-garde jewellery at Palazzo Delle Esposizioni in Rome, the very same gallery where Bvlgari put on their 125th anniversary show, he now designs a range exclusively in Australia for Fourth Crusade. He was born in Genoa in 1971 and grew up in Milan. His love for abstract painting began in 1990 after having visited an exhibition of the Chilean painter Michel Sergio Haramoto Baffico. This was his turning point and he began to paint. Between 1995 and 1999 he started to work for a known jewellery and antiques showroom and in his leisure time, organised small exhibitions for up and coming artists and painters in Milan. Ashanti is a painter, goldsmith and jewellery designer, a true artist. In 2000 he moved to Rome and settled in one of the cities oldest districts, Monti. It was there that Ashanti set up his jewellery workshop which doubles as a gallery space. His reputation grew in 2006 after gaining the highly regarded quality certification "Provincia di Roma Marchio di Qualità" for his jewels. “The luck of being at the same time designer and craftsman is that I can soon see my creations become real”. Ashanti Raffaele Cinzio is now available exclusively in Australia to Fourth Crusade. |
